In March 2023 after scrolling past a video of sea glass being turned into jewellery, Hollie started to think that her collection of sea glass and pottery that had been found of many years of beach and river combing could be put to some creative use. she bought some silver wire, chains and a basic blowtorch and began to work on teaching herself silversmithing. Learning on the go she refined her technique and style and expanded Alphea’s collection from just necklaces to rings, earring, bracelets and cufflinks.

As time went on Hollie started to experiment with different metals, materials and gemstones. Her unique style and attention to detail shines through in the pieces created for Alphea. Sustainability is a huge focus for Hollie in all her work and uses only 100% recycled silver and gold, ethically sourced gemstones and hand picked seaglass and pottery.
